The Son-Light

While driving home one afternoon, I noticed the sun shining

through the clouds. As I looked at this beautiful sight, I noticed many

even cast rays shooting down the sky.

It was as if the rays were actually touching the ground, and essentially they were. As the clouds slowly started to drift more apart, the actual sun became more apparent and

more beautiful. The image I was looking at was almost too bright to

look at, yet I couldn’t stop myself. I started to feel the warmth of the

sun coming through my windshield and then my face felt flushed.

As I continued driving I kept basking in the light and heat, and was

captivated how the light was everywhere I could see, and so evenly

distributed.

Jesus tells us in John 8:12, “I am the light of the world. Whoever

follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is the eternal light. He is bigger and

brighter than anything else, just as the planet sun is to this earth. Our

sun brings so much light, warmth, healing, and joy. How much more

can the Son of God bring to our lives? Plenty more. All that we could

ever ask or think of.

Jesus is bigger than any problem or dilemma we could ever face,

and He is our answer. His light in our lives brings all the healing,

strength, joy and warmth we could ever need.

There is plenty of Him to go around, evenly distributed to each of us. Just look up to Him and you will find Him. Take the time to bask in Him every day and your life

will be changed. Your life will end up reflecting Jesus and His light.
